Tiger cub found in duffel bag at US-Mexico border

A live tiger cub was found curled up in a duffel bag at the US-Mexico border on Monday after smugglers abandoned an attempt to cross into the US.  Smugglers left behind the bag containing the animal and fled back to Mexico after attempting to cross the Rio Grande into Texas. Border Patrol agents spotted three people trying to enter the US illegally along the river near Brownsville. An agency statement says the trio abandoned a bag and returned to Mexico. Officers discovered the cub stuffed in the bag.
